One Day Left for Picket Fence Christmas!

We have just one more day to go for this year’s Holiday Show. Join us for Shop Small Saturday this weekend, Nov. 24, 9:00 to 5:00. We will be offering a special gift with purchases of $40.00 or more. The sale corner is generously stocked as well.

Consider one of our popular lighted designs for gift giving–they come in the box ready to wrap.

Hope to see you Saturday! (I do not plan to open tomorrow, Friday, as I have the opportunity to spend some time with son # 2 visiting from St. Paul.) After this weekend, our crafters take their things home. My inventory remains if you would want to make a purchase prior to the holidays. Just give me a call to see if what you are interested in is still in the shop.

Preview Peek of Shop!

Shop prep continues for our Fall Show starting August 31. It looks like we will be well stocked for opening weekend. I am liking the burnt orange colors, with a bit of purple here and there. My favorite are the big orange burlap flowers. We have these in arrangements and available to purchase separately to put in your own containers.

Show dates are: Friday and Saturday, Aug. 31/ Sept. 1, and Friday and Saturday, Sept. 7/ Sept.8. 9:00 to 5:00.

Pie on the Porch is the first weekend. If it rains, please still come join us. The Library Friends will move pie event from porch to church across the street in the event of rain.

Our FALL SHOW is coming soon!

Not that we want to chase away summer (I like all the yard time, walks, visits with friends and family), but from a crafter’s perspective, it is time to think fall. We want to have fall things created for you to see before the season starts. Our fall show traditionally starts Labor Day weekend, so opening day this year is the last day of August. Hope to see you, and don’t forget, fall show means Pie on the Porch!

Friday and Saturday, August 31 and September 1

Friday and Saturday, September 7 and 8

Hours: 9:00 to 5:00

Don’t miss PIE ON THE PORCH, first weekend only!

Save the Date: Next Event–Pie on the Porch, Labor Day Weekend

Wishing everyone an enjoyable summer. Our next event is the ever popular Pie on the Porch returning Labor Day weekend. Friends of the Library host two days of delicious pie served on our Victorian porch and in the shaded, landscaped area surrounding our home. The shop will be filled to the brim with fall decor and creations from our talented artisans. While pie is available for just one weekend, the shop will be open for a second weekend in September.

We finish out 2018 with our Holiday Show, when we will be open every weekend in November!

Picket Fence Welcomes Spring!

Winter has been especially cold, and we are ready for some sunshine and invigorating spring colors! Trips have been made to cash and carry markets, orders are unpacked,  and crafters are bringing their wares. We are embracing both the farm theme and the industrial/galvanized metal look. Our spring arrangements include some softer neutral tones but also traditional yellows, purples, and reds. Hydrangeas in a myriad of colors arranged in metal containers are all around the shop. Unique hanging pieces with metal, twigs or wood are ready to adorn your door or walls. Contemporary hand painted signs, fabric crafts, a generously stocked candle display, pillows and tea towels, and hand crafted soaps round out the inventory. The shop is full and ready for your visit!

Our spring show weekends are:

Friday and Saturday, April 6 and 7

Friday and Saturday, April 13 and 14

Friday and Saturday, April 20 and 21

Picket Fence Celebrates Fall

Cool weather has everyone thinking fall. Our shop is filling with warm autumn colors and the spicy scent of harvest candles. Friends of the Library have a new decorating theme for the porch. Soon pie baking will be underway. Be sure to come on our first weekend if you are looking to enjoy homemade pie on the Victorian porch.

Friday and Saturday, September 1 and 2

Friday and Saturday, September 8 and 9

Hours: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

(Enjoy Pie on the Porch Friday and Saturday, September 1 and 2)

Join us in the shop to see fun new Halloween and harvest decor as well as a sneak peak of Christmas items ordered at the Minneapolis trade show. Metal containers are a new trend and we have them in all shapes and sizes. Some have arrangements like beautiful sprayed hydrangeas or burlap sunflowers. Some are offered just as we got them for accent in your decor or to hold your own creations. Guest crafters offer wood signs, crocheted hats and fabric crafts. We just received a big shipment of freshly made candles in Harvest Thyme, Pumpkin Pie, Cinnamon Butter and winter scents too. The weather forecast looks great. Just bring a sweater or jacket if you are a morning porch guest. It truly may feel like fall this year!
